2019-2020 Academic Year Fees

Tuition and fees are revised annually for each academic year. For current students, future increases in the annual tuition for the subsequent academic years following the admission are determined based on the inflation rate. UNDERGRADUATE TUITION & FEES

Annual tuition covers both the Fall and Spring semesters; and is paid in two installments in each semester before the semester starts. Summer session is not included in annual tuition. Students who plan to attend the summer school must pay a separate tuition. Summer tuition is determined annually by the Board of Trustees for each academic year. English Preparatory Program students are required to pay the current tuition of the undergraduate program in which they are registered. 

Undergraduate students who need to complete at most 18 more credits, excluding internship, in order to be eligible to graduate pay their tuition based on per-credit rating. Tuition per credit is 1/60th of the annual tuition of the student’s current academic program. For recipients of tuition waivers, the tuition per credit will be waived up to the rate of the tuition waiver the student has been awarded. For more information, please click here.

(4) Undergraduate Hotel Management students who will matriculate to their undergraduate programs in the 2019-2020 academic year must obtain their uniforms from the on-campus bookstore at the beginning of the 2nd semester of their sophomore year.  The cost of uniforms is determined annually. Accordingly, for the 2019-2020 academic year, the cost of uniforms is 300 TL including VAT. The fee is same for all students with or without tuition waivers.

Annual VAT Inclusive Tuition for Current International Students

(1) Excluding the programs offered by the Faculty of Aviation and Aeronautical Science.

(2) The tuition is $12,000 for the Undergraduate Law Program, and $ 8,900 for the Undergraduate Architecture and Undergraduate Civil Engineering Programs.

(3) Undergraduate Professional Flight Program students are also charged a separate fee for their required flight training. The required flight training fee is not included in the annual tuition of the Professional Flight Program. The flight training fee must be paid in 3 equal installments at the beginning of the 4th, 6th, and 8th semesters in the undergraduate program. The flight training fee is set as follows for the 2019-2020 academic year based on the year of admission: 

• For Professional Flight students admitted in 2018, Ayjet Anatolian Stars Flight School, the University’s partner institution, has set the flight training fee as 54,000 EUR including VAT. 
• For Professional Flight students admitted in 2017, Ayjet Anatolian Stars Flight School, the University’s partner institution, has set the flight training fee as 54,000 EUR including VAT. 
• For Professional Flight students admitted in 2016, Ayjet Anatolian Stars Flight School, the University’s partner institution, has set the flight training fee as 45,090 EUR including VAT. 
• For Professional Flight students admitted in 2015, Ayjet Anatolian Stars Flight School, the University’s partner institution, has set the flight training fee as 43,200 EUR including VAT. 
• For students admitted in 2014, the flight training fee is 30,000 EURO including VAT. 
• For students admitted in 2013 and 2012, the flight training fee is 27,000 EURO including VAT. 

(4) Undergraduate Gastronomy and Culinary Arts students who will matriculate to their undergraduate program in the 2019-2020 academic year must obtain their uniforms and knife sets at the beginning of the 2nd semester of their freshman year when their culinary courses start. The uniforms will be obtainable from the on-campus bookstore, and the knife sets will be obtained from the University’s contracted firm. GRADUATE TUITION & FEES

(1) For the current international students admitted to the University before the 2014-15 academic year, the technology fee and the Universal Health Insurance premiums are included in the annual tuition.

For graduate students, there are a variety of scholarship opportunities available at different rates. Scholarships are assigned by the respective Graduate School at the time of admission. For recipients of tuition waivers, tuition is waived up to the rate of the scholarship the student has been awarded.  For instance, a student holding a 75% tuition waiver is required to pay only 25% of the applicable tuition.

Annual tuition covers the Fall and Spring semesters of an academic year and is paid in two installments each semester before semesters start. Summer session is not included in annual tuition. Annual tuition is revised every year, and students must pay the revised annual tuition for each year they pursue their studies.

The Program Fee applies to newly admitted students only. The coverage and payment methods for the program fee are as follows:

•The program fee in the Non-Thesis MSc in Financial Engineering covers the 2019-2020 Fall, Spring and Summer semesters, as well as the 2020-2021 Fall semester.  The program fee in the Thesis MSc in Financial Engineering covers the maximum period of study in the program (3 academic years). For both programs, this fee is paid in 3 equal installments, with the first installment being paid during the university enrollment period in the 2019-2020 Fall semester, and the second and third installments being paid in the spring and summer semesters, respectively, during the tuition payment period announced in the academic calendar.  

•The program fee in the MBA and EMBA programs covers the 2019-2020 Fall, Spring and Summer semesters as well as the 2020-2021 Fall semester. The fee is paid in 4 equal installments, with the first installment being paid during the university enrollment period in the 2019-2020 Fall semester, and then the remaining installments being paid in the following semesters during the tuition payment period announced in the academic calendar. 

•The program fee in the Non-Thesis M.A. in Psychology Program covers the 2019-2020 Fall, Spring and Summer semesters as well as the 2020-2021 Fall semester. The fee is paid in 2 equal installments, with the first installment being paid during the university enrollment period in the 2019-2020 Fall semester, and the second installment being paid in the Spring semester during the tuition payment period announced in the academic calendar. 

• The program fees for Thesis LLM in Private Law or Public Law and LLD in Private Law or Public Law covers 4 semesters and 8 semesters, respectively, for students who start their programs in the 2019-2020 Fall semester. LLM and LLD students who fail to graduate at the end of the regular period of study specified above must pay a semester fee each semester during which they pursue their studies at the University. The semester fee that the LLM and LLD students need to pay is 1/4th and 1/8th of the annual tuition of the program for the current academic year, respectively.

PER-CREDIT TUITION FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS WHO NEED TO COMPLETE AT MOST 18 MORE ECTS IN ORDER TO GRADUATE

Undergraduate students who need to complete at most 18 more credits, excluding internship, in order to be eligible to graduate pay their tuition based on per-credit rating. Tuition per credit is 1/60th of the annual tuition of the student’s current academic program. For recipients of tuition waivers, the tuition per credit will be waived up to the rate of the tuition waiver the student has been awarded.

When determining the students who will pay per-credit tuition in a semester, should it be understood that there are incomplete grades from the previous semester, these courses are deemed to be successfully completed, and any student who has completed 222 ECTS credits excluding internships is included in the group who will pay per-credit tuition in the respective semester. Students in this group are not charged regular tuition that current students need to pay on the tuition payment dates. Therefore, during the course registration period, these students are not required make any tuition payments and unpaid tuition will not preclude them from selecting courses during the course registration period. These students may still select and register for courses during the course registration period, even though tuition has not been paid, yet.

Unlike regular current students, students in this group must first register for their courses for their per-credit tuition to be calculated. As these students’ remaining number of ECTS credits may change if their incomplete grades are replaced with a fail grade for the courses they took in the previous semester, their tuition will be assessed at the end of the course add-drop period based on the total ECTS credits of the courses they have taken for the current semester. Students with per-credit tuition must pay their tuition after the add-drop week during the dates specified in the “Tuition Payments” announcement. In a case in which students take more than 18 ECTS credits, they are charged semester tuition. Students who need to complete at most 18 credits in order to graduate but are still charged semester tuition instead of per-credit tuition may contact their undergraduate program representatives at Student Services.

SUMMER TUITION

Students who plan to attend the summer school must pay a separate tuition. Summer tuition is determined annually by the Board of Trustees for each academic year.

Summer tuition is paid per credit for each undergraduate and graduate course offered during the 2019-2020 summer session. Tuition per credit is 1/60th of the annual tuition of the student’s current academic program. Summer tuition is calculated based on the total credits of the courses the student takes during the summer session. For recipients of tuition waivers, the tuition per credit will be waived up to the rate of the tuition waiver the student has been awarded. Summer tuition is paid per credit for each course offered during the Summer session. 

In graduate programs with a pre-set program fee, students are required to pay the portion of the program fee set for the summer session.

English Preparatory Program students who plan to take courses during the 2019-2020 Summer Session are charged half of the applicable semester tuition based on their tuition waivers.  However, the summer session tuition is waived for students who started the English Preparatory Program at the “A2” level and successfully completed the “B1” level by the end of the Spring semester in their first academic year. These students may attend “B2” level courses free of charge during the summer session. These students also retain their additional scholarship, including cash stipends, or housing, dining, transportation support, during the summer session.

TECHNOLOGY FEE

The 2019-2020 technology fee is 645 TL including VAT for students admitted in 2011, 2012 and 2013 and issued with a laptop by the University. The technology fee is paid in two installments at the beginning of Fall and Spring semesters.

Students who do not wish to use the laptops issued by the University may submit an application to the IT department in order to return their laptops before the last day for add-drop announced in the academic calendar. Students whose application is approved by the Information Technology (IT) department are exempted from the technology fee. Exempted students do not need to make any payment for the technology fee.
