Right to Composite Exams for Students Whose HES Code Status is “Risky”

Dear Student,

It was decided by the University Senate that that students who had the right to composite exams but were not admitted to campus and therefore could not take the scheduled in-person (face-to-face) composite exams because their HES code status is not  “RISKLESS! COMPATIBLE!” can be granted the right to exams which will be counted towards composite examinations in the 2021-2022 Fall semester under the following terms and conditions:

a) Students who could not take the scheduled composite exams because their HES Code status was not “RISKLESS and COMPATIBLE” can benefit from this right to exams if they fail the course (regardless of whether or not they took the final exam).

b) In order to be eligible to exercise their right to exams, students must fill out the Additional Composite Examination Application Form and submit it together with the required documents to the academic unit in which they are registered no later than the composite exam day by 15:00. Applications will be reviewed and verified by the respective academic unit authorities, and students whose applications are accepted will be notified of their new exam dates.

Application Information and Documents:

• Your current valid HES Code
• Screenshot of your HES Code status on the composite exam date
• Test result (with a verifiable QR Code), if tested positive for COVID-19

c) Examinations to be counted towards composite examinations will be administered in-person (face-to-face) on campus from January 29 through February 5, 2022.

d) In the event that the student’s HES code is not suitable for admission to campus on the new exam date, no additional examinations will be administered.

e) Students who fail to take the exams on the announced dates are not granted further rights to a new exam.

f) The grade to be obtained from the exam will be counted towards the composite exam grade. The final grade will be calculated based on the grade achieved from the exam and will be announced on February 7, 2022.
