2023 Spring Education Principles II

Dear OzU Members,

Following our yesterday's announcement “2023 Spring Semester Education Principles I”, further explanation of certain points was deemed necessary.

• As mentioned in the announcement, classroom assignments for online courses are preserved on the SIS, and our students will be able to follow these courses in their respective classrooms during the scheduled class times. 
• Exclusively for this semester's special mode of instruction, our faculty members will be delivering their online classes in these classrooms synchronously.  The course delivery principles for our English Preparatory Program and graduate programs will be announced subsequently by the respective academic units.
• The announcement posted yesterday was intended to provide guidelines regarding the online instruction opportunity made available to all students, and as it was described in the announcement, students are not obliged to be physically present in the assigned classrooms for the respective courses. 
• Attendance will not be mandatory in online courses. Regarding face-to-face online course, attendance will not be mandatory in their first week of classes; but may be required in the remaining weeks as specified in their syllabi. 
• Office hours of classes can be held both online and face-to-face.
• As mentioned in yesterday’s announcement, please be reminded that all our academic and administrative activities will continue face-to-face on campus. Please keep in mind that various forms of online support which are to be announced by our relevant units will be available for our students who are unable to be on campus.

2023 Spring Semester Principles have also been updated in line with the explanations above.
